Discurriendo por Filosofía para Niños:

Cuando hablamos de Filosofía para Niños, ¿a qué nos estamos refiriendo? Desde que Matthew Lipman publicara El descubrimiento de Harry  a finales de los años 70, el Programa de Filosofía para Niños (FpN) se ha venido desarrollando en modalidades tan diversas como el Proyecto Noria, el Currículum Filosofía 3/18, o la Filosofía con Niños, entre otros. A lo largo de los últimos cuarenta años, se han constituido  Centros de FpN en más de cincuenta países de todo el mundo. Cada uno de ellos, aplica el Programa atendiendo a momentos históricos y contextos culturales muy diferentes entre sí. Sin embargo, a pesar de sus diferencias aparentes, todos ellos comparten un objetivo común: contribuir a la formación de mejores ciudadanos, en la medida en que prioriza el desarrollo de destrezas cognitivas y afectivas que nos van a permitir pensar de manera autónoma, crítica, creativa y cuidadosa.

Los filósofos, maestros y profesores afines a este programa consideran que el estudio y método de la filosofía puede ser un buen camino ya que, tanto por los temas que plantea como por el modo en que lo hace, permite la reflexión evitando todo peligro de adoctrinamiento. No pretende proporcionar valores y máximas, sino facilitar que los estudiantes aprendan a expresar sus opiniones, a hablar y a escucharse, convirtiendo el aula en una comunidad de investigación en la que todos tomen parte para tratar de aclarar y dar respuesta a un variado conjunto de temas de su interés.  De este modo, la filosofía se revela como un proceso que puede ser extremadamente efectivo para razonar, interpretar y explicar lo que sucede en el contexto que nos rodea, nos interesa y nos preocupa.

En el marco educativo español, han sido variadas las iniciativas que se han emprendido durante los últimos años para tratar de satisfacer esta necesidad.  En concreto, durante las últimas dos décadas se han desarrollado e implementado dos reformas educativas para las etapas previas a la formación universitaria que han apostado por la inclusión de asignaturas concretas en el currículo: en 1990, la Ley Orgánica de Ordenación General del Sistema Educativo (LOGSE) con la asignatura de Ética; y en 2006 la Ley Orgánica de Educación (LOE) con la asignatura de Educación para la Ciudadanía. Todo ello, con el objetivo final de promover el crecimiento conjunto de los alumnos y alumnas como personas responsables y como ciudadanos activos.

Sin embargo, en la actualidad la filosofía curricular sufre una profunda crisis de popularidad. Los estudiantes no son capaces de ver su utilidad y se reducen sus horas en detrimento de otras materias. Esto es especialmente visible con la última reforma educativa, cuya Ley aboga por formar más el pensamiento empresarial que el filosófico.

En este nuevo paradigma socio-educativo, ¿qué papel puede adquirir la Filosofía para Niños? El objetivo de este Congreso es analizar algunos de los aspectos más significativos que el nuevo contexto ha puesto de manifiesto para la didáctica de la filosofía.

Responder a tal desafío requiere examinar, en primer lugar, cuáles son los rasgos definitorios de eso que llamamos “Filosofía para Niños”. Parafraseando a Kant, cabe hacerse tres preguntas: ¿Qué puedo conocer?, ¿Qué debo hacer?, ¿Qué me está permitido esperar?  La comprensión de estas tres dimensiones de la realidad de FpN, su pasado, presente y futuro, permitirá guiar la reflexión en torno al modo en que debe perfilarse la enseñanza filosófica dentro y fuera del aula. Ellas tres se pueden resumirse en una sola: ¿Qué es Filosofía para Niños.

Presentación de propuestas de comunicaciones:

El plazo de presentación de las comunicaciones finaliza el 15 de octubre de 2015.

El objetivo del Congreso es compartir ideas y propuestas para que puedan aplicarse posteriormente en nuestra labor diaria. Por ese motivo, pedimos que las contribuciones tengan una dimensión práctica, de modo que puedan llevarse a cabo con la participación de todos los asistentes.

En el caso de no ser así, el autor puede simplemente mandar su texto y será evaluado para su publicación en un número monográfico de la revista Eikasia http://revistadefilosofia.com/

Se debe enviar por correo electrónico un resumen con una extensión máxima de 250 palabras, en inglés y castellano, New Times Roman, 12 puntos e interlineado de 1,5. El documento debe incluir además el título y la temática de la comunicación, nombre del autor, institución a la que pertenece y datos de contacto.

Se informará sobre la aceptación de la comunicación antes del 15 de noviembre de 2015.

Los asistentes recibirán un certificado de participación emitido por el Centro de Filosofía para Niños del Principado de Asturias (en curso de homologación por la Consejería de Educación, Cultura y Deporte).

Las comunicaciones aceptadas obtendrán un certificado oficial como ponente y podrán ser publicadas en un número monográfico de la revista Eikasia: http://revistadefilosofia.com/
